I keep this policy short and in plain English, because the data situation itself is simple. "I" below means Mr F R Collins, trading as Firestead Property — a private individual running this site to find a home for myself.

What data I collect

Only what you give me through the enquiry form:

  • Your name and contact details (email, phone number(s))
  • Details about the property you describe (address, condition, situation)
  • Anything else you choose to write in the form

I do not collect payment details (nothing is sold here), I do not buy or receive data from anyone else, and I do not run advertising or analytics tracking without your consent (see Cookies below).

Why I use it (lawful basis)

To contact you about the possibility of buying your property. The lawful basis is legitimate interests: a prospective property transaction between us. I have no other purpose — no mailing lists, no marketing to you afterwards, no selling or sharing of your data with anyone, ever.

Who sees it

Practically no one. Your enquiry goes to me. If a purchase progresses, my solicitor and, if applicable, my mortgage lender will receive the details they need — as would happen in any property sale.

How long I keep it

  • If we never progress: your enquiry is deleted within 12 months of the campaign ending.
  • If a purchase progresses: the usual property-transaction records are kept as long as the law requires (your solicitor will confirm the specifics).

Your rights

You can ask me to show you, correct, or delete your data at any time: ferenc@firestead.uk. I will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies

This site itself does not use tracking cookies. If advertising is ever used to point people to the site, cookies may be set by that advertising — only after you have consented, and never before you see a consent notice. You can refuse or withdraw consent at any time without affecting your use of the site.
